I've been a proud amateur footballer as long as I was able to actively play. I can't show much regarding quality (level), but how many coaches have a quantity of played games like I do?
In Finland, my highest played level is Kolmonen (4th). In Germany, it's Kreisliga A (8th or 9th back then). I spent most of my adult football years in the university and companies league systems due to how my life went back then. The level was actually pretty good there as well, but how could I ever prove that...
I have played on every position on the field, from goalkeeper to striker, in all possible tactical systems. Most of my games I either made as a central defensive midfielder (6er, my favourite position) or as a central defender. If I'm being honest, my best position was probably goalkeeper. Unfortunately, I never received keepers training, so that never really was an option.
In total, I played around 1.000 games in my life! Unfortunately, my statistics are incomplete, because most of my games happened before internet-statistics. If you don't believe me, just look at my broken body. It tells you its mileage. ;) On top of my "official" games listed below, I played hundreds of friendly games and tournaments for my teams.
And then there is this little story... I also played hundreds of "unofficial" games for various teams in the university leagues during the 90s and early 00s when there were no game pass controls and I checked the league schedules and then went to the games to check out which teams had a player shortage. There was almost always a team in need of a "guest player". My daily record is 3 games in a row. My weekend record is 4 games (2 and 2). Yes, I am football-crazy. Yes, I love football. Yes, I sometimes might bend the rules if it is beneficial to the involved parties. ;)
